Unfortunate incident takes 3 lives

Director Shankar and his team have been working tirelessly for the shooting of Indian 2, which has been taking place at the EVP Studios in Chennai for the past couple of days. On February 19 at around 9:30 PM, a crane collapsed and fell on the technicians.

Three people were killed on Wednesday night when a crane fell on them on the sets of the Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2, local media reported. The accident happened when the set was being constructed, and as many as 10 people are badly injured.

Police sources said Mr. Haasan, who was at the accident spot, helped transport the victims to a private hospital. Police officials added that three bodies had been sent to the Government General Hospital for post-mortem.

In a series of tweets (in Tamil language),Kamal Haasan also mourned the death of his three colleagues. He wrote, “More than my pain, the grief of the family who lost them will be manifold. I take part in their misery as one of them.”
