14 years of Pokiri

Superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the highest paid actors in the south film industry and cherishes an expansive fan following throughout India.

Recently, social media was taken by a storm, as the actor’s fans commemorated the completion of 14 years since the release of his electrifying film Pokiri, which is the golden hit of his brilliant career.

Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh penned an emotional note thanking fans for supporting the 2006 release Pokiri that turned 14 on Tuesday (April 28). The mass director said that he was grateful to cinephiles for loving his work and making it a hit.

Interestingly, Pokiri is also reported to be Mahesh Babu’s first hit movie down South. The movie released in 2016 reportedly minted 70 crores at the box office, and also reportedly was the only film at the time to be screened for all four shows for 1000 days in a single theatre.
