Vijay acquires the mega film rights

“Uppena” despite is a small film that generated enough buzz and is set for a summer release. But things changed completely due to coronavirus. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi played the lead antagonist in the film which generated extra craze for the project.

As per the latest news ,Vijay himself will remake the film in Tamil soon. Initially the makers roped Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi as they wanted to release it i Kollywood. But Vijay Sethupathi has acquired the remake rights of Uppena and the remake will be jointly bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings along with Vijay Sethupathi .

Though the news is confirmed, it is to see that who will be acting in the film. However, Original has Telugu film has been directed by Bucchi Babu Sana,while Vaishnav Tej makes his debut.
