Class of 83, trailer from solid cop drama

Looks like Bobby Deol comes back with a bang. Bobby Deol is making his digital debut with Class of ’83 a cop drama adapted from Sayyed Yunus Hussain Zaidi’s book The Class Of 83.

The trailer of Netflix’s Class of 83, is unveiled today. Here, Bobby plays the role of the dean of a police academy. The story is set in the 1980s, when the crime rate in Bombay (now Mumbai) was quite high. Adapted from Hussain Zaidi’s Class of 83: The Punishers of Mumbai Police, the film also stars Annup Sonii, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Joy Sengupta.

In the trailer, the story has Bobby Deol playing a heroic former policeman in the film, who gets reassigned as an instructor at the Nashik police academy. Spotting young talent but aware of the red-tape that his job is hindered by, Bobby’s character puts together a covert task force that specialises in pulling off encounter killings.
