RGV vs Amrutha Pranay

Controversial director RGV has been utilizing the lockdown period while the rest of the industry is at a standstill. He has been making the films in a pace, lookalike not even thinking anything other than making money is the only criteria.

On Tuesday, a petition was filed against RGV in Nalgonda court for making a film titled “Murder” based on the real life story of Amrutha, an upper caste girl who got married to a Dalit boy Pranay against her parents’ wishes, which eventually led to the boy’s murder two years ago and finally to her father Maruthi Rao in March this year.

Amrutha stated that the director hasn’t taken any permission from the family in making the film. The trailer too depicted some outrageous scenes related to Pranay’s murder. The advocate Narasimha representing Amrutha’s family urged the court to send the notices via email in these troubled times. While RGV defended his stance saying it just highlights the doting father and daughter relationship.

Amrutha has asked the court to suspend the release of the film and to stop the publicity immediately. On this extent, the court issued notices to the producers and asked them to appear in court on the 6th of this month.
