Drugs controversy rocks Kannada film industry

The memories of Tollywood celebrities getting embroiled in drugs case is still fresh in Telugu people minds. Now similar episode is being repeated in Kannada film industry.

Karnataka police have took into custody some drug peddlers recently and in the process of investigation, they revealed that several top Sandalwood actors as their customers. Kannada film industry is popularly called as Sandalwood. 

While the details are yet to be ascertained and real facts will emerge only after thorough investigation, names of popular heroines like Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana and others are doing rounds in connection with drugs controversy.

Kannada film industry elders are expressing shock over the drugs controversy as they fear that it will tarnish the image of film industry. They are planning to give a representation to Home Minister Bommai to conduct a thorough investigation on the issue.
