Satyam scam-based web series stopped

Badboy Billionaire, a Netflix web series reportedly based on some of the big scams and lives of the tainted industrialists, has been stopped by Court. Hyderabad Civil Court ordered Netflix to stop streaming of the controversial web series.

The posters and trailers of Badboy Billionaire displays the pictures of controversial industrialists Satyam Ramalinga Raju, Vijay Mallya, Subrata Roy, Nirav Modi. Satyam Ramalinga Raju approached Hyderabad City Civil Court requesting to  stop the airing of the web series saying that it would invade his privacy and damage his reputation as the trial in the case is still going on.         

After hearing Ramalinga Raju’s plea, Hyderabad City Civil Court granted an injunction ordering Netflix to stop streaming of the Badboy Billionaire. Badboy Billionaire was earlier scheduled to be released on OTT platform on September 2.
