Will Vijayashanti contest Dubbaka by-election?

With MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy’s death, Telangana will soon witness bye-election for Dubbaka Assembly constituency. While ruling TRS is planning to give ticket to Ramalinga Reddy’s family members, opposition Congress is scouting for candidates. Among the probable candidates for Dubbaka bye-election, firebrand leader Vijayashanti’s name is doing rounds.

Though neither Vijayashanthi nor party High Command did not make any statement in this regard, party cadres feel that she can be the best bet for grand old party at this juncture. Congress party is going through a troubled phase right now and party cadres feel that Vijayashanthi being a determined leader can give tough fight for TRS in the bye polls. Also Vijayashanthi served as MP of Medak parliament segment in the past and she is a familiar face for Dubbaka people. Clarity will come on Vijayashanthi’s candidature in the next few days.
