Netflix Plows Through the Season with a Bunch of New Original Holiday Movies & TV Shows
Halloween isn’t even here yet and stores are already stocking up on Christmas decorations. So maybe it’s not so crazy that Netflix has unveiled their new wave of original holiday movies and TV shows that will be arriving on the streaming service over the next couple of months. In fact, the first holiday original arrives before Halloween with the romantic comedy Holidate. After that, it’s an endless stream of cheesy romance, holiday spirit, delicious baked goods, and even some Christmas adventures. Get the full roster of 2020 Netflix Christmas movies and TV shows below.
The best holiday programming options, as far as we’re concerned, include a third season of The Great British Baking Show‘s holiday edition. And if you’ve been missing Sandi Toksvig as the show’s co-host in the latest season of the primary series, you’ll be happy to know she’s back for the latest festive baking competition. And if you need even more baking competition fun, there’s a new holiday season of Sugar Rush as well.
A special holiday edition of The Movies That Made Us is also on the way with episodes focusing on Elf and The Nightmare Before Christmas, two modern holiday classics. Plus, don’t forget that The Christmas Chronicles sequel is on the way too. Otherwise, the rest of these movies and shows probably aren’t going to be new classics, but for some reason, people’s standards go way down when it comes to new Christmas programming each year. That’s why Hallmark is always rolling in the holidays with what seems like a never-ending supply of terrible romances.
Anyway, get the full calendar (so far) of the 2020 Netflix Christmas movies and TV shows.

Holidate – Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) hate the holidays. They constantly find themselves single, sitting at the kids table, or stuck with awkward dates. However, as a year of absurd celebrations come to an end, Sloane and Jackson find that sharing everything they hate may just prove to be something they unexpectedly love.
