Doraswamy Raju passes away

Popular producer and former MLA Doraswamy Raju passed away on Monday in Hyderabad. He breathed his last at Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. He was admitted in the hospital with age related ailments and succumbed to cardiac arrest.

Doraswamy Raju hailed from Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh state. He rose to prominence as a successful distributor and later turned producer. He produced some hugely popular films like Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu, Simhadri, Annamayya and others. He produced movies on VMC banner and got into the list of successful and respected producers league. He even served as MLA from Nagari constituency.

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, Former Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, veteran director Raghavendra Rao, heroes Nagarjuna, NTR, producers Suresh Babu, AM Rathnam and others expressed condolences on Doraswamy Raju’s demise.
