Ace actress kalyani turns Director

After foraying into cinema as a child artist, Malayalam actress Kaveri popularly known by her screen name Kalyani made inroads into Telugu cinema with Rajasekhar’s 2002 film Seshu. In a short span of time, she played the leading lady in a string of big-ticket films like Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, Vasantam, Kabaddi Kabaddi, Dongodu and Pedababu. After getting hitched to director Surya Kiran in the late 2000s, she shifted her focus towards supporting roles.

She has now turned director.Kalyani is directing a Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual starring Tamil star Chethan Cheenu. The movie was formally launched. Kalyani is now using the screen name Kaveri Kalyani for her directorial debut. She wielding the megaphone is surprise news.

Based on real life incidents, Kalyani will make the film as bilingual in Telugu and Tamil under her K2K Productions. Chethan Cheenu is zeroed in to play male lead in the film.
