Review : Darshakudu – Amateur Director
Sukumar has been stamped as a creative director who won many accolades. With his first film as a producer Kumari-21 F has registered a huge hit. Darsakudu has been produced by Sukumar in his own banner. This love story is trying its luck before the audience. Ashok and Eesha paired and directed by Hariprasad Jakka. Lets see how Darsakudu has fared on the screen.
Story :
Mahesh (Ashok) has been dreaming since childhood to become a director. As soon as he gets a chance, Namrata (Eesha Rebba) comes into his life and friendship turns to love. Mahesh starts visualising Namrata’s love as a cinema illusion. Namrata doesn’t like it and he quits. Later Mahesh realises the truth of Namrata’s love. By then Namrata distances from him. He even misses a chance of movie direction. Later lot of things happen in their lives. What happens later? Could mahesh become a director ? Can he succeed in getting Namrata or not needs to be followed on the screen…

Cast & Performance
Ashok could prove that he can become a good hero material with his debut. He could manage dual characters, one of a girlfriend loser and the other as a passionate director.
Eesha Rebba not only won the hearts with her glamour but with her natural acting too. Poojitha, Noel, Navin, Sudarshan have done justice to their roles. Comedian Sudarshan tried to tickle and make us laugh and Priya Darshi makes a surprise appearance with full fledged laughter.
Technical :
Sai Katheek couldn’t mesmerize with his music. RR & background was OK. Cinematography of Pravin Anumolu was fine. Editing work of Navin Nuli was quite professional. Sukumar didn’t compromise at production values.
The major setback of the film is the direction department. Director Hariprasad couldn’t take the control of the narration at any point of time. He couldn’t bring out the story as per the title’s strength. He couldn’t succeed in elevating the jinx of a director and lover characters.
He seems to be confused and also leaves the audience in a puzzled state.
He seems to be confused and also leaves the audience in a puzzled state.
Even the climax scene was not planned and was just animated without any soul in it.
in the whole movie, about 20 minutes love track between Ashok and Eesha towards the climax is only worth watching. Sukumar’s production values are good but could not prove in the absence of a good direction. Overall Darsakudu remained just as a Amateur Director. Lets hope Hariprasad gets support of some more producers to make him a trained director.
