Review: Kathalo Rajakumari – Where’s the Story?
Nara Rohith, Naga Sourya, Namita Pramod, and Nanditha have been pooled up by debut director Mahesh Surapaneni for Kadhalo Rajakumari.
Nara Rohith is known for bringing a variety of stories irrespective of hits or flops. His movie Samantakamani has stood to be a worthwhile watch this year. Now he has come with Rajakumari storyline. Let us see how much Nara Rohith has been successful in this story.
Story :
Arjun (Nara Rohith) is a movie artist who prefers villain roles and also behaves the same in real life. He is an introvert and seldom mingles with people. A single incident changes him completely. He loses his talent of acting and his villainy skills. He seeks suggestions of others to regain his acting skills. At that moment a wellwisher hints him “Identify the actual enemy in your life and enter his life. You create distance between the enemy and his happiness. Then the cruelty in you would surface. Then your actions will also resume” Arjun takes this advice. What does Arjun do next? Who is the enemy ? Will Arjun regain his acting skills? These answers would be available on the screens.
Positives :

Cast and Performance
Firstly Nara Rohith’s acting is to be mentioned. He has justified two shades of characters in this movie. He meeting his childhood friend and trying to regain his acting skills is worth watching.
Naga Shourya in a special role has succeeded in grabbing the attention of the audience.
The story revolves around the role of heroine Namitha Pramod. Some familiar face could have added some charm.
Srimukhi, Tanekella Bharani, Avasarala Srinivas, Rajiv Kanakala, Ajhar, Prabhas Srinu, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Chalapati Rao have acted well.
Technical
Ilayaraja-Vishal Chandrasekhar combination could deliver two good songs and background music is good.
Camera work of Naresh K Rana is just OK
Karthik Srinivas could have further trimmed the duration of the story to give pace.
Weak dialogues have disappointed.
Debut director Mahesh Surapaneni’s song is not so attractive. The storyline is quite boring and rotates around hero losing his acting skills and approaching his childhood friend for regaining his skills. Starting few minutes was good but due to dragging, and lesser comedy, the direction has failed. Director’s plot itself is quite confusing.
Analysis :
Mahesh Surapaneni might have written a good script but could not show it perfectly on the screen. Many silly situations seem logicless. Comedy quotient is missing and dragging narration makes you bored very frequently. Overall there is nothing much to spend time in theatres. If you still have lavish time you may try.
