Review: Meda Meeda Abbayi – Bearable
Movie audience gets well prepared before going to watch Allari Naresh movie. He is branded as a comedy hero. Allari Naresh is desperately in need of a hit for the last four years. As audience are cherishing spoof comedies nowadays, Naresh is failing to tickle the audience. This time Naresh tried to import a Malayalam story “Vadakkan Selfie” into Telugu as Meda Meeda Abbayi and brought it to the Telugu audience. It is you to decide as a Hit or Flop. Our review might help you to analyze.
Story :
Sreenu (Allari Naresh) returns home after failing 24 subjects of engineering. Despite his parents being very poor, he is never serious in his career and roams with his friends aimlessly. Sindhu (Nikhila Vimal) joins as Sreenu’s neighbor for rent. Sreenu started liking her from the first sight itself. Sindhu ignores him. He tries to grab her attention and trap her with the help of his childhood friend Babji (Hyper Adi). She cares a damn and never tries to respond to Sreenu. He plans a plot in which he wishes to make short films and become a big director. He thinks of winning her love with the fame. He tries that and fails in it too. He moves to Hyderabad in search of a job.
He again fails to get a job and returns home empty-handed. By that time, a strong rumor spreads that Sindhu and Sreenu have eloped. Sreenu feels shocked. What happens to Sindhu? Cast and Performances
Allari Naresh is deprived of a hit since 2012. His latest hit was “Sudigadu”. His routine comedy, style, spoofs, and imitation has bored the audience. He tried to be different in this remake film. Without any surprise, Naresh kept the same style. He couldn’t even tickle the audience with his weak comedy baring some scenes with heroin.
Hyper Adi is the only person this movie has to depend on. He is the writer for this movie. Only his lines have saved this film.
Heroine Nikhila Vimal got introduced to Tollywood with this film and she seems to be promising.
Avasarala Srinivas as a private detective and in negative shade has mesmerised.
Technical
The cinematography is the special feature of the film. Unni S Kumar has lived up to the expectations of the director.
Shaan Rehman’s music is a big minus but tried to cover up with background music.
Nandamuri Hari’s editing is just OK.
Producer Chandrasekhar has spent well as per the story requirements.
Director G Prajith has experienced a huge success in its Malayalam version. He tried to print it as it is in Telugu but missed out a quotient some were in the soul of the story in Telugu. He could have kept some more attention on Naresh.
Analysis
Comparatively Allari Naresh’s different attempt. If you go with a pre-occupied expectation of comedy from Allari Naresh, you may be disappointed. Second half the secondhand no amusement to note. Only Hyper Adi has taken the responsibility of comedy section and tried to tickle the audience. His punch dialogues and timings are highlights. Overall – Meda Meeda Abayi is just OK.
